Augsburg, January 24, 2023 – Günther Hörbst (50) will become Head of Group Communications at machinery and propulsion specialist RENK Group on March 1, 2023. The position has been newly created. He will report to RENK CEO Susanne Wiegand. In his role, Hörbst is responsible for the Group's global external and internal communications, as well as for positioning and maintaining the RENK brand.

Hörbst studied politics and history at the University in Innsbruck/Austria and subsequently worked as a journalist for 20 years, including twelve years at Axel Springer AG (BILD, WELT, Hamburger Abendblatt), the regional newspaper Weser Kurier (head of the business section) and the Professional medium Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung DVZ (editor-in-chief). Most recently, Hörbst headed global communications at the space company OHB SE in Bremen for more than five and a half years.
