Robert Palmer takes over as Vice President Washington Operation at RENK America

Muskegon, MI, January 16, 2024 – RENK America in Muskegon, Michigan welcomes Robert Palmer as the new Vice President of Washington Operations. His focus will be on augmenting RENK America’s presence, communication, and relationships with the US Government and foreign embassies in Washington D.C. 

Palmer recently retired as a Brigadier General in the Air Force Reserve. He previously served as the mobilization assistant to the Director of Public Affairs, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. His military assignments include the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, United States Northern Command, United States Transportation Command, and Air Force Reserve Command. 

As an Air Force officer, he contributed to public affairs policy and communication strategies on critical issues including recruiting, readiness, operations, force structure, and personnel. His expertise and guidance helped advise the Secretary, Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Chief of Space Operations and other senior leaders within the Air Force and Space Force. 

Palmer has an extensive background in political science, public affairs and international affairs, having earned degrees from The Citadel, Indiana University, and Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
