With its over 430 employees, the RENK plant in Rheine – the second largest RENK Group location after the company's headquarters in Augsburg – has continually specialized in the production of gear unit and coupling solutions for customers around the world.

The plant at the Rheine location was built in 1986 as a result of the spin off of the “Industrial and Marine Gear Units” product area in Augsburg, which became RENK-TACKE GmbH. The TACKE shares were then fully acquired in 1996. Since then, the location has developed and manufactured drive technology for a wide range of industries and applications. RENK Rheine supplies well-known customers in the fields of energy production, the oil and gas sector, the steel industry, and marine technology, among others.
