Helical Gearbox

H

A helical gearbox is a type of mechanical transmission Transmission The function of a vehicle transmission is to adjust the torque and speed, and to transfer engine power to the drive wheels. in which straight or helical teeth are arranged on parallel axes. Torque is transmitted from one gear to another, with the input and output shafts usually in the same plane. Depending on the design, there are single-stage and multi-stage helical gearboxes. These gearboxes are characterised by high efficiency, good maintainability and a robust design. Helical gearboxes are used in many applications, such as industrial plants, wind farms, conveyor systems, ship propulsion and machine tools. They are particularly well-suited to medium to high torques with constant or alternating loads.
