Hub-loading test benches are perfect for testing the entire drivetrain of tracked vehicles. With these, the torque is applied directly to the drive wheels and thus loads the entire drive unit. Depending on the vehicle type, the vehicle can be lifted or the tracks can be decoupled from the drive wheels.

With test benches from RENK, processing times and costs can be reduced in the development, production and maintenance of military and civil tracked vehicles with even higher quality assurance.

01 High flexibility

Fast test item changes due to automated setting operations

For the testing of special vehicles, the flexibility of the test system is often an important factor. It must be possible to handle changing test specimens without major modifications.

Vehicle dimensions can be stored in the RENK control system so that wheelbases, track widths and similar are automatically set by the test rig after registration of the current test specimen. Quickly exchangeable adapter sets are available for connecting the vehicle to the load units.

02 Automated test runs

Various customer-specific automatic programs for unattended operation

The RENK test rig automation system RDDS combines control and measurement tasks in one package. Test programs can be stored in the database with the respective vehicle data. This enables short set-up times when changing test items and absolutely reproducible test results. Automatic programs allow unattended 24/7 operation. A real-time interface enables direct communication with the vehicle's CAN bus.

All recorded measured values can be visualized and archived online.

Big data

Internal and external measurement technology, safety circuits and building technology provide enormous amounts of data. The RDDS test stand automation provides hundrets of measuring channels for this purpose, which records and stores all sensor data online. The data relevant for the current test are graphically displayed to the operator at any time and made available for parallel analyses.
