A planetary gearbox is a compact unit with high torque transmission and efficiency.
transmit outputs of more than 20 MW and torques of more than 4.5 million Nm.
Due to their optimized designs combined with high manufacturing quality, they prove particularly effective during long-term operation and thereby ensure the availability of the system over extended periods of time. RENK very successfully employs three-dimensional, corrected straight/high toothing in the COPAZ. The sun pinions and planetary carriers are case-hardened and ground, the ring gear is highly tempered, optionally hardened, and precision ground.

The uncomplicated construction of the COPAZ, its high production quality, and outstanding efficiency ensure low life cycle costs. The gearbox is used preferentially in turbine systems for power production purposes as well as in process technology.
